Tipster top 10
Wins, places and unplaced. Yesterday’s totals stay, and each new day’s results are added. Kept on your relay so every device sees the same running table. £ is the profit from a £10 win bet on every tip: a 10/1 winner adds £100, and a place or an unplaced tip takes off £10.
📋 Paste tips
Copy tips from anywhere – a newspaper, a tipster, a search summary – and paste them here. To mark close races, put Close as the Source and paste each race as its time and course (e.g. 13.35 Punchestown), then its terms (3 Places 1/5) and rating (8/10). Horse names that match today's runners are added as tips from the source you name; anything else is ignored. Tips are kept for today only. To see results, put Results as the Source and paste them (each race\'s time and course, then position, number, horse and starting price for every placed runner). The 🏁 Results view lists each race with its starting prices and highlights any horses you have tipped.
Settings
What counts as close
Close = the 2nd favourite's decimal odds are within this many times the favourite's (amber), or the top 3 all are (blue). ★ Best = horses backed by at least the set number of tipsters (sources you add with 📋 Paste tips), most backing first. Tipsters' choice = a horse picked by more than the set share of tipsters for its race. Form rating (out of 100, top horse = 100) compares each horse with today's rivals on recent form (35%), career win % (20%) and place % (15%), and win % at the distance (10%), course (8%), going (7%) and course & distance (5%); small samples count for less. Form pick = the top-rated horse, highlighted when it's clear of the next by the margin set. E.g. at 1.25×: 3.0, 3.4 and 3.6 is a 3-way close race (3.6 ÷ 3.0 = 1.20×).
My tips
Type your name, then tick a horse. That tick is a tip from you, and your name is listed as a tipster. Untick the horse to take it off.
Betting
Pick a bookmaker, or type your own name and the website that opens its app. Tap a horse's name to open it. If the app is installed, the phone should switch to it. It opens the bookmaker, not a bet already filled in for that horse.
Display
Auto-refresh & alerts
Pulls finished races (Sporting Life Fast Results, via your relay) about every 90 seconds while the page is open, and highlights your tips in 🏁 Results. Results you paste yourself take priority.
Morning tips
Untick for no tips. The app will not collect tips each morning. With this unticked, Clear tips only removes tipsters saved on this device.
Reads today's Racing Post NAPs table via your relay once when you first open the page each day. Clear tips to fetch them again. Leave Tipsters empty to pull every tipster on the table, or type names separated by commas to pull only those. Prices from the table are kept and shown when a horse has no live price yet.
Smart refresh: every 5 min, then every minute once a race is within 15 min of the off. While this page is open, each race alerts once when it is inside the time you set above, checked every 30 seconds. Phones pause background pages, so a notification may wait until you return. On iPhone, add the page to your Home Screen to allow notifications.
